3 Tips to choose the best wedding planner

Almost every girl’s dream is to have a magical and unforgettable wedding, not just with the man they love but with the perfect atmosphere and location. But there are different points of view on what is “perfect” for each bride, which is why the hardest decision you’ll ever make is choosing the best wedding organizer. So let me help you by giving this tips that will make that decision easier.

Tip #1: Do some research.

You have a huge advantage that your parents probably didn’t have, and that’s the internet. You can type in Google something like “best wedding planner in Miami”. This may help you because you’ll find several wedding planners in your area. You just have to pick a few and go in their website, check the reviews, and their previous work. Remember to make notes of what you liked about it and what you didn’t.

Tip #2: Ask your friends.

After you spend some time doing your research on Google, try to look for a few more options by asking your friends if they have gone to a nice wedding lately, if they’ve seen a beautiful event or they know someone who had their wedding recently. Any recommendation works at this point. Ask if they can put you in contact or just recommend you a great wedding planner.

Tip #3. Arrange a conversation.

Once you narrow down your list of wedding planners that you like, arrange an appointment or a call so you can ask questions related to price ranges, experience, and overall feeling. This is a delicate point because you’ll have to hear your heart and make sure there is some chemistry between you and the person whom you’re talking. There are a lot of wedding planners who can make the best wedding but not everyone can make YOUR WEDDING THE BEST.

Hiring a Wedding Photographer

Hiring a wedding photographer is one of the most important things you’ll need to consider when planning your wedding. The wedding photographer is the one that’s there specifically to capture all the precious moments of your special day. They’ll snap images of the cute little flower girl, shyly walking down the aisle, scattering rose petals, your husband to be as he watches you walk down the isle, and your mother with years in her eyes as she watches her now grown up child marry. These are the special moments you’ll never want to forget and they’re the shots a professional photographer is there to capture. The following recommendations will help you choose the perfect CT wedding photographer.

Experience is Essential
The one place you don’t want to cut corners when planning your wedding is hiring the photographer. This is your special day so you shouldn’t put the huge responsibility of your wedding photos in the hands of an amateur. A professional will be able to take exceptional photos in all settings from sunny celebrations held outdoors to crowded indoor receptions; they’ll be able to orchestrate the perfect shots.

The Interview Process
Do your research, ask friends and family for referrals and when you come up with a list of photographers to interview, ask to speak with a couple of their past clients? Ask their clients if they would recommend their wedding photographer to their best friends, if they were on time, if they were personable and even how they were dressed. In addition, ask to see some of the photographer’s photo albums and not just random photos. If possible, ask to see a complete set of wedding photos so that you know you’re not simply being shown their best random shot.  In addition, be sure to ask how long after your wedding you can count on receiving your photos.

Shooting Styles
In many cases, wedding photographers specialize in a specific style of photography including candid shots, portraits, photo journalistic, artistic, traditional and formal. It’s also a good idea to take a few clippings from bridal magazines that can give the photographer an idea of what you’re looking for and the styles you are leaning toward.

Choosing the Package
When it comes to your wedding photos, you don’t want any surprises. Remember, the photography is something you’ll cherish for the rest of your life so you want to make sure you clearly understand what you’re going to end up with. It’s also important to consider how many hours will be covered and whether or not you’ll need two photographers which largely depend on the size of the wedding. You’ll also want to find out how many proofs you’ll receive and if you’ll be provided with all of the images. In addition, find out how you’ll be receiving your photography; will they be downloadable, or on a thumb drive or DVD. As far as what package you should order, go for the best that you can afford on your budget.

Planning Makes Perfect
Secure your wedding photographer at least 10 months before your big day because the best photographers are usually booked out a few months.

Don’t just “wing it” with your wedding photography; one of the most important aspects of any wedding. “Cheap” definitely doesn’t add up to “good” and you don’t want to risk missing out on beautiful wedding photos because you hired an inexperienced photographer, or a buddy that happens to own a camera.

Light Up Your Wedding

Maybe you’ve picked the perfect venue for your wedding, or maybe you had to settle for something a little less-than-perfect. Either way, a good lighting design can take your space from ordinary to extraordinary, making your event feel romantic, lively, and even magical. Here are some tips for setting the mood with your lights.

Cluster your candles (or electric candles) in groups for best visual impact.  A good centerpiece design should give some thought to the lighting elements. A gentle light coming from the center of the table will flatter your guests’ faces, too.

Use light to draw the eye to features you want to showcase. Usually this is columns, trees, or special tables. Putting attention on specific areas is a great way to “hide” the other areas of the room you may not want your guests to see.

Use color to amplify and unite the space.  Modern LED uplights are easy to set up and dial in to any color. Putting the same color on opposite walls can help pull a room together. Just don’t use colored lights to light guests’ faces, as they are usually not flattering on skintones.

Make sure your DJ and lighting designer coordinate what lighting will be used. Usually, the event lights will be dimmed as dancing begins. Most wedding photographers will tell you they prefer more available light for dancing, so avoid turning the lights completely off.  Smart use of light can make the dances seem romantic, without having to be too dark.

Paper asian lanterns are a great way to add a little gentle light while also filling vertical space.  You can build a very large feature of different sizes of paper lanterns for a reasonable budget. The safest way to light them is with compact fluorescent or LED bulbs, to minimize heat inside the lantern.

The Benefits of Hiring a Wedding Planner

You’ve been dreaming about your Prince Charming and your magical wedding day for as long as you can remember and now your dream is finally coming true. Now that you’re engaged the whirlwind planning process needs to begin. Unfortunately, planning a wedding can be stressful for the best of us which is why you should consider hiring an expert to help you. Following are a few of the top benefits of hiring a wedding planner to help you plan your dream wedding.

Stress Relievers
Hiring a wedding planner will help you avoid dealing with the ridiculous amounts of stress that comes into play when planning a wedding. The process that precedes your wedding day should be exciting and fun, but it won’t be if you’re left in charge of everything. It’s the wedding planner’s job to make sure you don’t have to deal with avoidable conflicts by reducing stress for you, your fiancé and your family. Even more important, if your mom or mother-in-law end up getting into a spat over the centerpieces or cutlery (and they just might), your wedding planner will smooth things over. Best of all, on the morning of your special day, you should be sipping champagne and relaxing with your bridesmaids, thinking about one thing and one thing only, marrying the man of your dreams; if you hire a wedding planner, this is exactly how it will be. Your wedding planner will have a carefully thought out plan in place, including important appointment schedules, checklists, itineraries and precise timelines and will be there to carry them out.

Vendor Expert
Reputable wedding planners will have developed relationships with all the best vendors, which gives them the huge advantage of knowing which are terrible and which are exceptional. Your wedding planner will be able to recommend vendors whose services fit into your budget and they’ll ensure that your vision is carried out just as you dreamed. It’s also their responsibility to deal with boring, time consuming vendor tasks like appointment scheduling, contract negotiation and payment.

Out of Town Wedding Planners
Hiring a wedding planner is crucial for brides who plan to get married in a different city or even in a different country. Just imagine how great it would be to have someone who’s familiar with a different time zone, as well as venues and vendors. They’ll be able to represent you and organize all of the intricate details, including hotel accommodations for you and your guests, fun things for them to do before or after the wedding, welcome baskets, maps, directions and more. For example, if you’re going to get married in New York City, look for an NYC Wedding Planner that is local to that area.

Budget Friendly
If you’re planning a wedding on a tight budget, hiring a wedding planner may seem counter intuitive. The fact is this simply isn’t the case. Hiring a wedding planner will actually save you a lot of money in the long run. Wedding planners work with their clients and are happy to help you set a budget and make sure that you stick to it. Experienced wedding planners also know how to get you the most cost effective deals in town with vendors who appreciate the business the planners send their way on a regular basis.
